Weekend getaways are always a great idea. Incase your new here..my husband plans the most amazing trips! Whether it’s a quick weekend getaway to Canada or overseas to Paris I know anywhere with him is time well spent and a great time!
Holiday Cheer
I absolutely love Christmas! The inside of my house looks like that scene from “Elf” where Buddy decorates the front room with a bunch of Christmas decor. Thats definitely how my house looks from the kitchen to the bathroom. I still need to cheer up the outside and add my snowman and grinchmas items.
My husband wanted to put me in even more of the holiday spirit so he planned a trip away to Blue Mountain, Canada. This cool North Pole looking town was tucked away deep into the northern part of Canada. My husband does his research when it comes to these places and he has never disappointed! I felt like I was in a snow globe all weekend. There was shopping, ski slopes, restaurants, and even a mountain coaster.
Planning A Visit
Winter fun is all around, so I hope you love the cold if you plan on visiting. If not visit during the summer season, I suggest a Christmas in July type vibe. Tubing, skiing and mountain coasters are the main attractions. This is the perfect place for a couples chill weekend getaway, family time and also time with your girls. My husband brought along some date night cards and those questions had me crying like a baby but in a good way! With all of the one on one time we had together it was the perfect time to dive deeper into our relationship.
Time
12 years loving my husband and we still continue to make so many new memories. Marriage is not easy and requires work but that goes for any relationship. Making time for one another to make sure each others needs are being met and that your still on the same page is important. As we get older and add on to our families we have to remember to continue to date our spouse and not continue to live in the same routine because trust me I know how easy it is to just be caught in the motions.
If there is one thing you take away from the blog today, as a single or married person is that love does still genuinely exist and chivalry isn’t dead. Truly grateful to have a man who loves me the way he does. I pray you find the same if you haven’t already.
