Biggest Nail Investment

I remember my first big purchase as a beginner nail tech. A Kupa Mani Passport E-File, my husband got it for me and I was so hype! The first hand file I bought lasted quite some time for me. I only paid about $100 for it and got it from Sally’s Beauty Supply. It lasted a few years because I didn’t work on too many clients in one day as a beginner nail tech. The more clients you take on in a day, is even more reason why you need to invest into a good E-file that’ll last long and also help make your job easier!

The differences in my e-files were the difference in power, the hand file itself and the sound. The motor had to be stronger for all of the clients I took in a day. I would take up to 10 clients in a day! The hand pieces on both machines were also different. My Kupa hand piece was much more slimming and light weight in my hand. I’m only telling you this just incase your on the fence on if you should upgrade what you’re working with. If it’s not a need save your coins, trust me someone is always coming out with a new e-file. I’m on number 6…. My only problem I ran into with my Kupa e-file was I couldn’t use it while it was plugged in. When I did that I caused a short in it and it wasn’t right ever since. I currently use Young Nails E-file with a turn dial as the knob and it is the coolest E-file I’ve had by far. I’ve been using it for a solid year. Before this one I was using Erica’s ATA of course(if you use my code Bri it saves you $ on that e-file) my MT30 was great also but when I first got it, my knob didn’t keep a piece on it when you turned up the speed and it always liked to turn up the speed on its own. Which got annoying so I caved in and got the Young Nails E-file and haven’t had any problems thankfully.

Buying a new E-file can be pricey! Which is why I waited until I was doing nails for a solid 2 years before I truly invested in spending that much money, because mind you I was fresh out of high school when I first started doing nails. I’ve recently had the opportunity to review an e-file for a company so I’ll have to let you know how that is on TikTok. Let me know if you want the link.

My Inbox is always flooded with what type of e-file should you be using? You gotta get whatever works with your budget at the time and work with what you have until you can invest more money into your nail journey. Nothing happens overnight and everything requires work.
