Waxing At Home

No one talks about how pricey self-care can get but trust me, I get it. Achieving self-care at home isn’t as hard as you think. Heres what you should know and things you need if you’re just starting waxing out at home.

In a world where all we see is beautiful women around us and always feeling like we need to keep up, it can get pricey and exhausting. Which is why I took matters into my own hands and also my husbands which helped me save $100 a month! I was a faithful EWC girly( European Wax Center) but the economy switched up and I had to find where I could save me some coins where possible.

Wax Kit PLA sent.

PLA gifted me a complete wax kit to try out at home.

Types of Wax

Hard wax & Soft Wax both play different roles so it’s important to know where to use each wax on different areas of your body. The hard wax is usually used for more intimate areas on your body like your Brazilian and bikini area, I also use it for my underarms. Soft wax is usually used with a strip for removal and can be used on areas of the body with hair that is more fine than course like arms and legs.

Wax Options

At home waxing isn’t for everyone but if you can do it yourself or have someone at home like me to help you out then I say go for it. I recently came across PLAs Nue wax and I was so excited to give it a try. I already fell in love with their nail products so when they asked me if I wanted to give their wax a try, I figured why not!?

I previously was using Waxness and I loved their wax. A previous waxer I went to at EWC said that the waxness wax was the closest thing to the EWC wax. My skin is so sensitive so I am very picky about the products I put on it, because I had used a wax from a different company I tried out I loved the Pink color it had and man was I in for a rude awakening. I broke out in hives instantly!

PLA sent me their full wax line! If you want to see the unboxing then check it out here on my Tiktok. What I noticed first about the wax was of course the color! Its my favorite color pink! Their wax also is translucent which makes it easier to see the hairs underneath it as you’re laying the wax down on your skin.

Things You Need To Get Started..

Waxing at home doesn’t need to be overcomplicated and you don’t need very many tools to get the job done. As a woman self-care is so important, not only because it helps us look good but also feel good, even when it’s areas of our bodies we don’t share with everyone else. I’ll be sure to update you on what I think of their wax once I give it a try, if your also someone who gets waxing done whether at home or at the salon tell me what area you dread the most when it comes to getting waxed.
