A Weekend in Chicago
There’s something so special about getting away with your husband—especially when it's for our annual Valentine's Day trip. Fourteen Valentine’s together, and it still feels like we’re just getting started. The love, the adventure, the romance—it truly never gets old. This year, we took our love to the Windy City, and let me tell you, Chicago did not disappoint!
A Weekend Full of Love & City Lights
We checked into the Residence Inn Downtown, a perfect spot that put us right in the heart of the city. Everything we wanted to do was either a short walk away or a quick Uber ride. And when things got tricky navigating the streets? No worries—Husbayy had it all covered. Keenan is a travel pro, and honestly, I just follow his lead (one of the many perks of having a husband who knows his way around the world).
From the moment we arrived, the vibes were set. Great food, beautiful views, and unforgettable moments and memories.
Where We Ate & The Spots You NEED to Visit
Food is a love language, and Keenan made sure every place we dined at was a whole experience. Here are some must-visit spots for your next Chicago trip:
Dear Beloved – The atmosphere? Immaculate. The food? Even better. A perfect date night spot.
Kitchen & Kocktails – Listen, if you’re in Chicago looking for a good brunch spot to turn up with your girls and haven’t been here yet, worth a try! Amazing flavors and vibes all in one.
Bar La Rue – A cozy, stylish bar with handcrafted cocktails and an ambiance that made our night.
Mastro’s – A classic fine dining experience that always delivers. This spot is a must for any romantic getaway!
We wanted to do something different this time, so we headed to Navy Pier at 360 Chicago, where we glided in the city views from above. Let me just say, the city at this experience is amazing! We look forward to going back to experience the city from a kids perspective when we bring our daughter.
A Love Like This
Fourteen Valentine's together, and every single one feels just as special as the first. Our marriage is built on a foundation of love, faith, and God at the center. There’s no greater blessing than sharing life with someone who truly sees you, loves you, and leads with intention. Keenan is that for me, and every year, I grow more grateful for the love we share.
The little things always mean the most—like how he surprised me with matching outfits for Valentine’s Day. (I mean, can we take a moment for how thoughtful and cute that was?!)

Make Time for Love
If there’s one thing I can share with you, it’s this—make time for love. Life moves fast, and it’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day. But love needs to be nurtured, celebrated, and experienced in a way that makes your heart full. Whether it’s a full-blown getaway or just an intentional date night, prioritize the moments that remind you why you fell in love in the first place.
Because love like this? It’s grand. It’s abundant. And it’s worth celebrating—always.
